On Sunday, February 8th, 100+ museums all across the state of Georgia will participate in Super Museum Sunday, a day of free admission to local museums! Hosted by the Georgia History Festival, this awesome opportunity lets Georgians and visitors learn all about history from around the state… for free! Keep scrolling to learn more.
What is Super Museum Sunday?

Super Museum Sunday is a day of free admissions to museums in Georgia! You can check in (here) to see which museums are participating, and head to your fav spots to learn all about history, arts, and culture!
So whether you’re looking to explore some local history, art, or culture within the community, there’s something for everyone to enjoy & learn about!
Some participating museums include:
- Historic Oakland Foundation – Oakland Cemetery (two general tours for free)
- Kolomoki Mounds (The Kolomoki Museum is closed, but join site staff for special Super Museum Sunday Programming!)
- Vintage Kitchens Museum & 1890s General Store
- Andalusia: The Home of Flannery O’Connor
- Beach Institute African American Cultural Center
- American Prohibition Museum
- C&G Antique Tractor Museum
- Andersonville National Historic Site (in the National Prisoner of War Museum)
And so many more!
