According to the AJC, the big announcement was made on Tuesday (February 21, 2023), at the closing event of the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.
The team behind this exciting reopening includes Christopher Escobar, who already owns another iconic ATL cinema, The Plaza.
Escobar announced that there will be a new for-profit company called Tara Theatre LLC, structured similarly to Plaza Theatre LLC, which was founded in 2017 to preserve and operate his iconic Midtown movie theatre.
