Sankranti may be not be the newest Indian restaurant BUT they are giving us a taste of they’re newest dishes on their dinner menu! More spice, more flavor, more food. Prepare for your taste buds to fall in love.
Sankranti is a gorgeous Indian restaurant and event space that celebrates India’s rich culture through a menu of mouthwatering dishes and exceptional service. The owner, Kavitha Nimmagadda, gushes that they prepare all of theirdishes “with traditional Indian spices and techniques and look forward to sharing our flavorful chef’s specials and menu of authentic Indian dishes with dinner guests.”
The new menu includes small plates and chef’s specials to curries, biryani/pulav and tandoor dishes. They even offer a children’s menu. Some of their highlight dishes are
Red Snapper in Banana Leaf – Pan-fried red snapper cooked with traditional South Indian herbs and spices served in a banana leaf with a side of coconut rice,
Malai Kofta – Vegetarian dish with balls (kofta) made of potato and paneer are deep fried and served with a creamy and spiced tomato-based curry
Shrimp – Shrimp marinated with yogurt, herbs and Indian spices grilled in a tandoor
Sankranti was recently awarded “Best Taste” at Taste Around Town Alpharetta. Whether this will be your first time trying Indian food or if you’re a seasoned vet (pun intended), this is the place to visit.
