Have you ever wondered what it felt like to sneak into a forbidden speakeasy in the 1920s? To wear a pin-striped suit or flapper dress with a classy feather headband while you drink secret bootlegged booze underground? Now’s your chance to get transported back through the decades for a terrific, tipsy time!
What’s happening?
Destination Theatre, a local Atlanta theatre company known for their interactive, innovative theatre (ever heard of performing A Christmas Carol with only two actors!?) is bringing to life an exceptional original live-show-meets-party this October!
The Speakeasy Encounter, written by local theatre artist, Tyler Graham, is a mix between a secret Prohibition Era party and a play! Guests can expect live music, dancing, bar tussles (but we’ll leave that part to the actors!), lots of drinking, games, and more!
Just remember, once you step through the doors, you’re under surveillance… so the bartenders need you to keep hush hush about what’s happening behind the closed doors!
Destination Theatre encourages everyone to dress to the nines in their very best 1920s attire, but of course, everyone is always welcome just as they are, if that’s not your style.
And if you’re looking for some incredible professional photos in your Prohibition Era garb, you can grab tickets for a photoshoot with the actors!
So where is it?
It’s a secret! But don’t worry… we’ll let you in on the secret. You can find The Speakeasy Encounter at Wild Heaven Beer Westend Brewery!
Address: 1010 White Street, SW Atlanta, GA
The show will happen two nights in October!
Saturday, October 14th, at 7:30 P.M. and Friday, October 20th, at 7:30 P.M.
