Have you ever wondered what it felt like to sneak into a forbidden speakeasy in the 1920s? To wear a pin-striped suit or flapper dress with a classy feather headband while you drink secret bootlegged booze underground? Now’s your chance to get transported back through the decades for a terrific, tipsy time with this immersive play, Speakeasy Encounter!
What is Speakeasy Encounter?
Destination Theatre, a local Atlanta theatre company known for their interactive, innovative theatre (ever heard of performing A Christmas Carol with only two actors!?) is bringing to life an exceptional original live-show-meets-party!
The Speakeasy Encounter, written by local theatre artist, Tyler Graham, is a mix between a secret Prohibition Era party and a play! Guests can expect live music, dancing, bar tussles (but we’ll leave that part to the actors!), lots of drinking, games, and more!
Just remember, once you step through the doors, you’re under surveillance… so the bartenders need you to keep quiet about what’s happening behind the closed doors!
What should I wear?
Destination Theatre encourages everyone to dress to the nines in their very best 1920s attire, but of course, everyone is always welcome just as they are, if that’s not your style.
I’m in! Gimme the deets!
It’s a secret! But don’t worry… we’ll let the cat out of the bag, just for you. You can find The Speakeasy Encounter at several locations around the ATL! (When you get there, tell ’em Secret Atlanta sent ya!)
