There’s so much going on in Atlanta this NYE!
If you haven’t made your New Year’s Eve plans as of yet, you better step on it! Luckily, we’ve put together this list of unmissable things going on this NYE. From the return of a beloved tradition, to an epic fireworks display. There’s truly something for everyone this New Year’s Eve in Atlanta, and you deserve to swing into 2022 in true ATL style!
It’s currently mandatory for Atlantans to wear a mask in public spaces and COVID is evolving everyday, with cities and its businesses having to follow suit. Always double check the policies in place to make sure you’re able to enjoy your night safely and without any hassle.

The beloved Peach Drop will return this year. For decades, thousands of Atlantans have gathered to watch the spectacle welcome in the new year. Atlanta has not hosted the Peach Drop for the past two years. In 2019, it was the first time the 30-year tradition did not happen. Now it’s back and bigger than ever, with special musical guests, carnival rides, and more!
2. The Battery Atlanta
The Battery are inviting Atlantans to ring in 2022 at their annual New Year’s Eve bash, which promises a day and night of music, fireworks, and more! Mark Owens will be on hand to host this year’s double celebration, beginning with Early Innings geared toward families, and then their Late Innings, which is for all ages! If you want a New Year’s Eve to remember, then hit up Politan Row for their inaugural NYE dinner. Kick off your celebration early during the luxury food hall’s first-ever passport dinner on Friday, December 31. From 6 to 10 p.m. You can even stick around and party the night away, seeing the New Year in style.
4. Yacht Rock Schooner 2022 at Georgia Aquarium
Ring in the New Year at downtown Atlanta’s most unique New Year’s Eve party! Hosted by Georgia Aquarium, Yacht Rock Schooner 2022 promises an evening to remember. You’ll experience exclusive after-hours access to all Aquarium galleries, including their newest gallery – Sharks! Predators of the Deep. The expansive new gallery is home to multiple shark species and is overflowing with suspense and adventure!
5. Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl
The country’s most exciting college football playoff games are back. Held at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, the Pitt Panthers will take on Michigan State Spartans on December 30, so you can kick off your NYE celebrations a day early with this Atlantan tradition.
Watch the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Michigan Wolverines on the biggest screens in Atlanta this NYE. The immersive attraction on the BeltLine is not only a wholesome outing for the whole family, but at night, it becomes one of the hottest and most unique bars in the ATL. You can watch the game and party past midnight at Illuminarium this New Year’s Eve.
Folk rock duo Indigo Girls & The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will perform live at Atlanta Symphony Hall on December 30 & 31. Kick off your New Year’s celebrations with a concert to remember, as this unique collaboration takes over the Atlanta Symphony Hall for two nights only.
8. Stone Mountain Park’s Early Celebration
Perfect for families, celebrate the New Year at Stone Mountain Park! Stone Mountain Park is all set to host an early New Year’s Eve Celebration. They’ll ring in the early New Year with a magical snowfall and early 2022 countdown. When the clock strikes 9 p.m., enjoy snow and epic fireworks displays.
Atlanta’s hottest speakeasy is hosting an exclusive New Year’s Eve party. Red Phone Booth’s VIP New Year’s Eve All Inclusive Party will be a night to remember, with live jazz, an awesome DJ, signature cocktails and so much more! There’s two locations across Atlanta, both hosting their own celebration!
10. Lips Atlanta
Lips is one of our favorite places to watch live drag in Atlanta. If you’re looking to kick off 2022 with the fiercest queens in the ATL, head to Lips’ Glitz & Glam NYE Ball. It’s their most popular show of the year, and the beloved drag bar is known for their stellar drag & dine experience.
11. Downtown Atlanta’s PRISM: Winter Lights
The always breathtaking PRISM: Winter Lights is back in Atlanta, and has transformed Downtown ATL into an art-lover’s paradise. Back for its third iteration, the 2-month art exhibition curated by Dashboard displays light-based works by national and local artists.
12. Jojo’s Beloved
JoJo’s Beloved is Atlanta’s newest speakeasy at Politan Row. They’ll be hosting an terrific New Year’s Eve party. 13. Southern Fried Queer Pride’s “New Year Who Dis” NYE party
Southern Fried Queer Pride is an incredible non-profit here in Atlanta. The arts and community based organization mission is to uplift Southern queer & trans folks, prioritizing QTBIPOC. 14. New Year’s Eve at Puttshack
