Returning to the Big Peach after a two-year hiatus, the exhibit is new and improved — featuring new 360-degree projections and state-of-the-art technology that transports you to Van Gogh’s breathtaking universe.
Take in every detail of the impressionist painter’s brushstrokes as his pieces surround the walls of Atlanta’s Exhibition Hub, and uncover the mysteries behind Van Gogh’s life and work. There’s a walk-through exhibit portion that will plunge you deeper into the life of the artist, a sketching segment where you’ll unleash your inner Van Gogh, a VR experience that takes you through a day in the life of the genius and a few brand new immersive rooms inspired by Van Gogh’s love for Japan.
Vincent Van Gogh famously said: “Paintings have a life of their own that derives from the painter’s soul.” At this new immersive experience in ATL, you’ll get a deeper understanding of his mind and the inspiration behind some of his most precious pieces, like ‘Starry Night’ and ‘Sunflower’.
The journey through Van Gogh’s art truly feels multisensory, since it bridges soothing music with dreamy projections. You’ll feel as though you stepped inside one of the painter’s canvases — becoming a part of the art. It’s a totally new way of experiencing creativity and inspiration, you’ll absolutely want to check it out.
If you’ve been to the Van Gogh experience last time it was in Atlanta, you’re gonna want to visit this brand new run since so much has changed: after successful exhibits across the country and internationally, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience presents a second run in July, heavily influenced by their stops across Europe, Asia and the Americas. You’ll find two Japonisme immersive rooms, a Sunflower fields’ themed-room and a café and champagne bar for a totally new experience.
