Great news for festival-goers in Atlanta: 420 Fest is FREE this year!
In a post today on their Instagram, SweetWater Brewing announced that their 2024 420 Fest will be free for everyone, with a $10 donation to Waterkeeper Alliance!
Why is the festival free this year?
SweetWater posted today that they’re “taking the fest back to its roots with killer jams, dank brews, and FREE – yes, free – GA [general admission] tickets with a $10 donation to our buds @waterkeeperalliance to support their important work protecting clean water around the world.”
Some commenters speculated that the change is due to tickets being overpriced this year. Other commenters defended 420 Fest, saying this was a great way to handle this year’s festival!
What if I already had tickets?
Don’t worry, they’ve been refunded! In their post, SweetWater said, “ALL purchases have been refunded. To show our gratitude for your support, we’ve also ensured that those who purchased tickets can redeem their Order Number for free tickets to this year’s festival. Yup. Free.”
So this is great news for everyone! Even those who previously bought their tickets. (Now you have more $$ for beer at the festival!)
What is Waterkeeper Alliance
To get your free tickets, you’ll need to make a donation to Waterkeeper Alliance, which is a very worthy cause! Waterkeeper is a global movement of community-based advocates fighting for clean, healthy and abundant water for all people. A donation to Waterkeeper is a wonderful idea!
