Fall is just around the corner here in the ATL! After a blistering summer, that means cozy sweaters, warm drinks and snuggling weather is finally on the way!
When is the last 8pm sunset in Atlanta?

Tonight, Wednesday, September 3rd, will be the final 8pm sunset of 2025. The days are now getting shorter and shorter. So say goodbye to firefly-filled nights and late sunsets in favor of short days and cozy evenings.
On Thursday, September 4th, the sun will set at 7:59pm. From then on throughout the fall months, the sunset will stay in the 6pm – 7pm range, until Daylight Savings has the clocks fall back an hour. Then the sunset will occur in the 5pm range.
The last time the sun set at 8pm in Atlanta was on April 4th, 2025, and the next time the sun sets at or after 8pm will be next year.
