When you think of grocery stores in Atlanta, Publix definitely makes the top of the list. With 220 stores in Georgia alone, and more on the way, Publix is a staple of the Atlanta community. Wait… there’s no more 10-items-or-less checkout?

Yep. You read that right. In a statement to Atlanta News First, Publix said,
Rather than adhering to a specific item limit, our focus is on reducing wait times and ensuring customers can be served as efficiently as possible.
Publix then continued that some stores have already implemented the change, while others will make the switch this fall.
In other words, if you’re looking to have a quick checkout at Publix, the 10-item lanes are quickly becoming a thing of the past!
