But this development is more than meets the eye… Publix is just the beginning of a brand new redevelopment plan by Venture South Investments called Candler Crossing. What is Candler Crossing?
Candler Crossing is a redevelopment plan launched by Venture South, and anchored by a new Publix grocery store. Venture South states,
This new construction development will be anchored by a high end Publix grocery store and have 11,200 SF of Retail Shops on the corner. Restaurant space with patio and inline retail shop spaces are available for lease.
The development aims to fill a community need for groceries, restaurants and service providers in the area.
According to a release by Decaturish,
Candler Crossing will include a green space, walking trail and a renovated MARTA bus stop.
There will also be 267 total surface parking spaces (including ADA) available for shoppers and restaurant goers.
Where is the new Publix located?
Candler Crossing will be located at 816 Candler Road, with Publix at the helm, right there on the corner.
When will Candler Crossing be ready?
Right now, Publix and Candler Crossing doesn’t have a set opening date, but local reports suspect the new Publix could be ready to open to the public as early as 2027.
