This seems like a very Atlanta thing to do: put an entire food hall into our beloved (at times) Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. There’s nothing Atlantans love more than a good food hall, and apparently international trips don’t change that!
What’s the food hall?
The new food hall is called Citizens Go (cute, right?), which is like a little sibling version of the brand new Citizens Market at Phipps Plaza. Right now, the plan is for the food hall to open up in about a year, in early 2025. Citizens Go is expected to go on Concourse F of the international terminal, between F10 and F12. The concept is similar to award-winning and number one airport restaurant in the entire country, One Flew South in the way that it will hold seating for about 45 visitors and have a 25-seat bar.
The expectation is for Citizens Go’s vibe to be similar to Citizens Market: restaurants and stalls from well-known brands, not local vendors. There’s a possibility for brands like Umami Burger, Sam’s Crispy Chicken, and El Pollo Verde are all expected at the new airport food hall.
Other airport food options
There are already tons of delicious food options in the world’s busiest airport, with One Flew South coming in as number one, of course. We’ve got a mix of mouthwatering local cuisine at sit down restaurants and quick grab-and-go fast food options. Whatever you’re looking for as you travel, surely the Atlanta airport’s got you covered.
You can find some Atlanta favorites like Grindhouse Killer Burger, Papi’s Cuban Grill or Cafe Intermezzo… or, of course, Chick-fil-a (another ATL favorite tbh).
We’re so excited for the brand new food hall in the airport!
