Atlanta has been anointed one of the best U.S. cities to visit in 2022!
Are you really that surprised? Atlanta has seen some major changes over the past couple of years. For better or for worse, the changes have certainly boosted tourism in the ATL, and people are starting to notice.
With a rich history running through our city’s veins, quick access to the natural beauty of Georgia, and knock-out attractions scattered across the city, Atlanta is a force to be reckoned with. Both Lonely Planet and National Geographic have picked up on this, putting Atlanta on their list of must-see places for 2022.
Atlanta is number four on Lonely Planet’s 2022 Best in Travel list, they describe our gorgeous city as a “feverish, easy-on-the-eyes cavalcade of culture, cuisine and Southern hospitality.” Some of the attractions recommended include the Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site, the High Museum of Art, Center for Civil and Human Rights, and more!
However, it doesn’t stop there. Atlanta was also mentioned in National Geographic’s ‘25 amazing journeys for 2022‘. They describe Atlanta as “being at the forefront of social change“, highlighting the BeltLine, Old Fourth Ward, and incredible black-owned restaurants to check out in the city.
In other news, a delicious eatery in Alpharetta recently came in at number three on the Best Restaurants in the U.S. list, curated by Yelpers. Click the link below for more information.
