So if you’re ready to think about cooler weather, yummy Christmas treats and holiday festivities, keep scrolling for a little cheer… in the middle of August!
What is the Atlanta Christkindl Market?

The Christkindl Market is an adorable German holiday market and a massive Atlanta tradition.
Each year the German American Cultural Foundation of Atlanta organizes contractors, vendors, and volunteers in order to share the centuries old tradition of the classic German Christmas Market with the city of Atlanta.
Market-attendees can expect delicious German food and holiday treats, tons of vendors selling the perfect holiday gifts (or a little somethin’ somethin’ for yourself!), and massive holiday cheer.
What’s new this year at the Atlanta Christkindl Market?
Well, the biggest change is the location! The Atlanta Christkindl Market has been previously hosted in Buckhead Village, but this year, they’re moving on to a bigger location: the Downtown Lawrenceville Lawn space, which, according to a post on Instagram from the Chirstkindl Market,
…will provide more room for vendors, more room for exploring German, international, and local foods/drinks/treats, more room for shopping handmade ornaments, and a diverse collection of international and local wares for sale.
