Atlanta has continued to climb the charts as one of the best cities to live in, the best city for creatives and now we can add a new accolade to our list. Atlanta has now been voted the fifth smartest city in the United States by real estate technology company ProptechOS. ProptechOS took into account the infrastructure and environment of each of the 100 cities they assessed.
The following indicators were taken into account when deciding how each city was ranked: broadband download speeds, number of tech jobs, and access to electric vehicle charging points, based on the OECD’s recommendations. With electric vehicles on the rise, the amount of EV stations was a strong factor in determining the city’s growth. ProptecOS found that Atlanta fifth highest number of EV charging stations in the country.
According to Dr. Erik Wallin, Founder, and Chief Ecosystem Officer at ProptechOS, “The cities that will thrive in the future are the ones best adapted to our new and greener ways of living.” Georgia was also found to have the tenth-highest number of green-certified buildings.
Atlanta is also a city that continues to develop and encourage access to emerging technologies. Atlanta’s infrastructure continues to prove that this will be a city of continuous growth for a long time.
