It’s finally time for the artsiest time of the year in Atlanta–the Atlanta Fringe Festival! With performances for two full weeks, this Atlanta Fringe is bigger than ever before, and you don’t wanna miss it!
What is the Atlanta Fringe Festival?
In a nutshell, Atlanta Fringe Festival is a massive celebration of new, talented artists from both all over the globe, and right here in the ATL. The festival lineup is selected via un-juried lottery, which opens it up to artists of all backgrounds, disciplines, and experience levels.

The Atlanta Fringe Festival is dedicated to connecting adventurous artists with appreciative audiences for the betterment of the Atlanta arts community.

What are some of the shows I can see at Atlanta Fringe Fest?
Atlanta Fringe has TONS of amazing performances to check out (so maybe grab a multi-show pass)! Here’s just a taste of what you can expect at the Fringe:
- Maggie’s Convent (theatre) – a saucy play about a woman working to publish under her own name in an era when female authors were meant to stay anonymous!
- Strip Teas (comedy) – a solo clown show, strip tease, and tea party all in one!
- Shedding Skin (dance) – a very moving and emotional dance piece that answers, among other things, the question “How do we peel back the layers of who we’ve been and become who we truly are?”
- “40.4.40” (The Hip-Hop Musical for Dreamers) (musical theatre) – a coming of age story about a man’s journey through music and his dreams!
