A new report by Architectural Digest lists the 33 best places to live in the U.S., and two Atlanta-area spots made the roundup. Keep scrolling to learn all about the best spots to live (and hey, you might already live in one of ’em!)
Where are the best places to live near Atlanta, according to Architectural Digest?

The two ATL-area spots that hit the ranking are: Atlanta proper (yes, as in the city) and Johns Creek.
Atlanta ranks on the list because, according to Architectural Digest,
The ever-expanding tech hub of the Southeast, Atlanta has welcomed new offices from tech giants like Apple, Alphabet, and Microsoft. And like Nashville, Georgia’s capital also landed on our list of four cities designers must watch.
And Johns Creek makes the list for two reasons: one, it’s a beautiful spot to live all on its own, but it’s also very close to the city of Atlanta. You get a little bit of the best of both worlds in Johns Creek. U.S. News also ranks Johns Creek as the #1 best place in the country to live.
Why is the Atlanta area so popular now?

As the heart of the American south, Atlanta always has so much going on. While the city is a bustling metro area, full of innovation and culture (maybe that’s why it ranks so high for young people), Atlanta is also a great spot to raise a family.
There are tons of great schools, educational opportunities, parks, festivals… you name it. So we aren’t surprised at all to see that Atlanta and Johns Creek rank so high on the list of best spots to live in the U.S.
