There are so many cool events going on this month to celebrate Black history! One amazing and fun way to celebrate is by heading to the Atlantic Station Green for a free movie night!
What are they showing?
Thursday, February 8th, 2024: ‘The Color of Friendship’ (2000)
‘The Color of Friendship’ is about the friendship between two girls; Mahree and Piper, one from the United States and the other from apartheid South Africa, as they learn to navigate racial tensions and differences. The film is based on a true story. Rated G.
Thursday, February 22nd, 2024: ‘Remember the Titans’ (2000)
‘Remember the Titans’ is also a historical drama, based on a true story. It tells the story of coach Herman Boone and his attempt to integrate the T.C. Williams High School football team in Virginia in the early 70s. Rated PG.

Both films will be shown outside on the Green, and will begin at 7:00 pm. The run time is different for both films, but expect about two hours.
Bring your own blanket, chair, and make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Both films are completely free to the public! And Atlantic Station has free 2-hour parking.
