In a recent study conducted by WalletHub, Atlanta ranked as the 6th best city to celebrate Valentine’s Day in! From our romantic restaurants to super fun date activities, we agree! Atlanta is the place to be for the season of love!
How was this study conducted?
WalletHub, “compared 100 of the largest U.S. cities across 25 key metrics, ranging from florists per capita to forecasted precipitation to cost of a three-course meal for two.”
Basically that means WalletHub compared everything that pertains to Valentine’s Day or romance: the best florists in town, the best first date spots… you get it!
WalletHub analyst, Cassandra Happe says, “Fortunately, the best cities for Valentine’s Day offer a wide variety of affordable date activities, food options and places to buy gifts, so you can show that you care without breaking the bank. It’s never a good idea to go into debt just to enjoy a holiday or give a gift.”
Atlanta’s ranking
Atlanta ranked sixth overall for the ‘Best Places to go on Valentine’s Day.’ It scored a total 70.83 out of 100, coming in just behind Las Vegas.
The Number one best city to go on Valentine’s Day is San Fransisco, CA.
WalletHub did recognize that Atlanta is on the more expensive end of Valentine’s Day festivities, ranking 43rd out of the 100 analyzed cities.
WalletHub commented about the cost: “This year, Americans collectively will spend a record $14.2 billion on Valentine’s day gifts — from greeting cards to jewelry to a special night out — with the average lovebird shelling out $186.”
So maybe money can’t buy love… but it relates!
