With Atlanta continuously growing and expanding it should come as no shock that it landed as the best city for those in remote jobs. When the pandemic hit, companies had to figure out how they were going to stay in business! It forced many of them to rethink what an ideal work space/day looked like. All of a sudden remote positions were popping up left and right.
Coworking Café, a nationwide coworking space search website, recently did a study on the best city for remote workers. They were specifically looking at what ingredients exactly make a city the perfect spot for remote workers. Their research found these following elements help create that perfect environment:
- Atlanta has 24 shared office spaces per 100K residents
- the highest availability of public Wi-Fi networks per 100,000 residents, which allows for maximum flexibility for freelancers and remote workers
- high for local internet speed
- enticing entertainment scene
- lower cost of living
All these factors have allowed for Atlanta to allow its residents to have the ideal atmosphere for a remote position. With the continuous influx of condos being built on every corner and every free space available, it should come as no shock those who live in cities with higher rent flock to this southern mecca. Atlanteneans may be sick of the influx of newbies, but with us constantly ranking high in categories such as these, the population is going to continue to soar! But, hey silver lining, at least if you’re a remote worker, you won’t have to deal with the traffic as much.
