The incredible minds behind Inman Park’s adored eatery Delbar are at it again. For this exciting venture, they are embracing their Iranian roots with a brand-new Persian concept for Ponce City Market.
Located on the first floor of PCM’s Central Foodhall, you can expect grab-and-go bowls with kabobs over rice, dips, salads, freshly baked pastries, sandwiches and more!
Enjoy a refreshing selection of beverages like teas, fresh juices, floral waters, and from 2023, cocktails on draft featuring a carefully curated list of Persian ingredients and spices.
The word “Bibi” roughly translates to represent a powerful, kindhearted female leader in the community. Hailing from Gorgan, Iran, owner Fares Kargar grew up in the kitchen alongside his mother, aunts and grandmother.
Following his studious years in Turkey and impressive culinary career in the ATL, Kargar believes Ponce City Market is the obvious choice for his new venture.
“I’ve always looked to Ponce City Market for the unique and dynamic energy it brings to the neighborhood,” said Kargar. “With Bibi, we’re excited to take elements from our menu at Delbar and bring a fun Persian menu to the Central Food Hall.”
As for its swanky interiors, the new eatery was designed by Archie Bolden, and features the same soft, earth-toned plaster walls, lush greenery and natural wood tones that Delbar has become famous for.
Delbar was actually featured on a recent round-up of Atlanta’s beautiful restaurants. From a gorgeous indoor garden to more Ponce City offerings, there’s no shortage of stunningly beautiful eats in the ATL, and Delbar is definitely one of them!
So make sure to check out Bibi next time you’re in the mood for Persian food. You can find Bibi on the first floor of Ponce City Market’s Foodhall, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, 30308.
