What is Black Girl Book Fair?

Hosted by Brave + Kind Bookshop founder Bunnie Hilliard alongside some of Atlanta’s favorite Black women-owned bookstores, Black Girl Book Fair is a vibrant outdoor celebration of stories, culture, creativity, music, and community for all ages to enjoy!
Bunnie Hilliard, founder of Brave + Kind Bookshop said in a statement,
This event is about joy, representation, nostalgia, and creating spaces where Black stories and Black-owned bookstores are celebrated loudly. We wanted to bring back the feeling we all loved as kids and turn it into a community experience rooted in culture, creativity, and connection.

Other than a SUPER fun time full of nostalgic book fair fun, there are plenty of amazing reasons to check out Black Girl Book Fair this July! Here are some of the awesome happenings guests can expect:
