You’re thinking of the Brunswick Buc-ee’s, which opened last summer, and is officially the largest Buc-ee’s location in the state. And yes! That Buc-ee’s is the perfect spot to stop, especially if you’re driving south from Savannah into Florida. But this NEW Buc-ee’s will be on the other side of Savannah, just over the South Carolina / Georgia state line. And it’s actually a full hour closer to the city of Atlanta… just sayin’!
So where exactly will the new Buc-ee’s be?
The new Buc-ee’s will be located in Hardeeville in Jasper County, SC, which is only about 25 minutes from the Savannah area. According to a local news station, WJCL 22,
Hardeeville City Council approved plans for a 46-acre lot, known as ‘Hardee Station,’ by U.S. 278 and I-95.
In other words, this new Buc-ee’s is PERFECT if you’re looking for a final pit stop before you reach the coast, or you need one last fuel up before taking off to head home to Atlanta.
When will this new Jasper Buc-ee’s open?
Great question. Can you plan your trip today? No, definitely not. As we all know, Buc-ee’s locations are always huge! And that takes some time to build. Construction is expected to begin early this year, and be completed by 2031.
So hang tight, Atlanta. The location isn’t quite ready yet… but we’re stoked for the future of seaside travel stops!

The Hardeeville Buc-ee’s location will be more than just a gas station, as all Buc-ee’s locations are! Travelers can expect:
