And on Sunday, November 12, Chai Pani will be hosting a huge celebration for Diwali, the Hindi Festival of Lights!
What is Diwali?
The Hindi Festival of Lights is a huge celebration in India. It lasts 5 days and typically falls in October or November. This year, Diwali begins on November 10th and ends on the 14th. Along with celebrating many other things depending who specifically is celebrating, Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, and celebrates the goddess of prosperity, Lakshmi.
Diwali is a time for exchanging gifts, wearing fancy, new clothes, feasting, feeding the poor, visiting family members, and setting off fireworks!
How is Chai Pani celebrating this year?
Every year, Chai Pani plans an amazing festival to celebrate the holiday, and this year is no different! Guests can expect delicious food and drink specials, henna, pani puri, or puff-pastry balls, and music from DJ VJ all night long! Oh, and to end the night right, Chai Pani will be setting off fireworks at the end of the celebration!
