Listen up ‘Heated Rivalry’ fans in the ATL… we’ve got some big news! Connor Storrie, the actor who plays Ilya Rozanov, Shane Hollander’s rival-turned-lover, is coming to Atlanta. And no, this is not a drill! Storrie will be joining the cast of ‘Turpentine’ alongside comedy icon, Melissa McCarthy. Keep scrolling for the details.
Who is Connor Storrie?
Connor Storrie’s rise to fame is due, in large part, to his role as the stoic Russian hockey captain on ‘Heated Rivalry’, the Crave/HBO Max series about two rival hockey players who develop a long-term relationship and fall in love.
Since then, Storrie has been all over the red carpet, and even hosted SNL.
What’s ‘Turpentine’ about?
According to Deadline, which confirmed that Storrie was in talks to star in the film,
Based on a script by Justin Varava that made the 2024 Black List, Turpentine follows a deadbeat son who hires friends to rob his own parents to pay off a bookie, with disastrous results.
We also know that Melissa McCarthy is in talks to star in the film as well. Right now, we don’t know exactly which character Storrie will be playing.
When is ‘Turpentine’ filming in Atlanta?
Right now, the film is slated for the end of spring, in May and June.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports,
According to local crew union IATSE 479, the film ‘Turpentine’ is set to shoot in Atlanta from May 11 to June 25. Though the movie will use Electric Owl Studios for offices and wardrobe, all shooting will be on location and not on stages.
