We’re less than three months away from the FIFA World Cup coming to Atlanta, and we couldn’t be more excited. It seems like the whole city is getting a facelift ahead of the games, and Atlanta’s own Waffle House, isn’t missing out on the fun. Keep scrolling to learn more.
Waffle House is opening a downtown storefront for merch

Huh? Waffle House merch in the heart of Downtown Atlanta? Yep. You read that right.
According to a new report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
Waffle House submitted plans in Atlanta to remodel its downtown diner next to Centennial Olympic Park. The restaurant would turn what’s now a display window into a retail storefront — in time for the World Cup and for future large events.
The report states that the new retail walk-up window would have a glass roll-up door, and serve customers directly from the sidewalk.
The inside of the restaurant would still be open for slinging hash browns and All-Star specials, of course.
What will the new Waffle House storefront sell?

Right now, we don’t know exactly what Waffle House’s walk-up merch store would sell, but we can assume it would be branded merch like hats, t-shirts, and mugs.
We’ve also seen fun items like snow globes in past Waffle House merch pop-ups, so maybe we’d even see things like that!
We’ve reached out to Waffle House for an update, and we’ll let you know what they say.
Hey, the Waffle House merch might be for tourists of the World Cup… but it’s gonna be a local must-have too. We can’t wait for all the fun that the FIFA World Cup brings to our city this summer! See ya at the new downtown Waffle House stand, Atlanta.
