Where does Atlanta rank on the list of coziest cities?

Atlanta comes in with an overall coziness ranking at #12, just after rainy Seattle. Here’s how the top 15 goes:
- Jersey City, NJ
- Miami, FL
- Orlando, FL
- St. Louis, MO
- Honolulu, HI
- Portland, OR
- New York City, NY
- Minneapolis, MN
- Boston, MA
- San Francisco, CA
- Seattle, WA
- Atlanta, GA
- Tampa, FL
- Santa Ana, CA
- Pittsburgh, PA
What makes Atlanta so cozy?

Atlanta has an abundance of comfy spots to check out, like cozy coffee shops and teahouses, cool museums, locally owned bookshops, and more!
There’s also a warm sense of community in the city, especially as you go by neighborhood–decked out with fall decor, Halloween vibes and twinkling lights as the city gets cooler!
The part that brought down Atlanta’s ranking?
As we all well know, our city isn’t super walkable. While individual neighborhoods are walkable, it’s hard to get from one to the next without hopping or the bus, MARTA or in a car. With a ranking at #26 for walkability, this made the ATL a little less cozier than some competitor cities.
How did Privacy Journal come up with this ranking?

The ranking looks at everything from walkable neighborhoods and cozy Airbnbs to the number of coffee shops, tea houses, bakeries, libraries, independent bookstores, and creative activities like pottery studios and cooking classes.
But it’s more than just a nice warm drink: the study also focused on charming architecture and places where comfort, community and creativity intersect to create an atmosphere of genuine warmth and belonging.
