With over twenty years of providing the ATL with this annual celebration honoring the nation’s favorite drink, the Decatur Beer Festival is back following a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. Except this time, the festival will reemerge as the charitable SUDs – or Simply Us Doing Our Share.
So y’all better get ready to bottoms up and try to sample as many brews from renowned breweries as possible, with over seventy ready to set up shop for this rebranded beer fest. All the proceeds raised from SUDS 2022 will be donated to organizations located at Legacy Park.
Over 1.6 million dollars from the Decatur Beer Festival’s twenty-year run was previously donated to various nonprofits. SUDS will highlight donating to the more than two-dozen organizations and nonprofits at Legacy Park in 2022.
One of the founders Mike Gallagher shared in a press release, “Think of SUDS as a reimagined beer festival with a more strategic focus on the approach–a new way to give back to those who are the backbone of our Decatur home. We have rebranded and found a new spot to call home at Legacy Park so, we are ready to crush the craft beer list and raise the bar regarding nonprofit awareness!”
Visit various booths to learn about the surrounding organizations that focus on everything from growing organic vegetables, to raising kids with art and music, and how the community can support the houseless population.
As well as this, you can expect a rockin’ line-up of live music, impeccable insight on beloved breweries, and a whole lot of excitement for the return of this fall favorite. There will even be an excellent selection of bites on offer, serving up fine food throughout the day. For more information, click here.
