Oktoberfest is actually celebrated in Germany beginning mid to late September, but because the festivities are just too fun, tons of events will carry through the month of October in A-Town. Here are 10 exciting things to do in Atlanta to celebrate and honor Oktoberfest, so get your steins, lederhosen and dirndls at the ready!
1. The anticipated return of Oktoberfest Atlanta
Where: Fourth Ward Skatepark
When: September 30-October 2

2. Marietta’s unique Chalktoberfest celebration

When: October 8 & 9
One of the most unique Oktoberfest celebrations in Atlanta is Marietta’s Chalktoberfest. Chalk artists will take to the streets to transform Marietta into a temporary art gallery, all while 40 breweries boast delicious craft brews for attendees to enjoy.
3. Oktoberfest at Tucker Brewing Company
Where: Tucker
When: September 17 until October 2
One of Atlanta’s most beloved beer gardens and breweries is hosting an epic Octoberfest celebration this fall. Taking over the iconic Tucker venue for two weeks and one day, there’s so much happening for their fifth annual Tucktoberfest, and you can read all about it here.
4. Check out Blacktoberfest
Where: Hippin Hops, Stone Mountain
When: From second week of October
Blacktoberfest 2022 are on their the third installment, thanks to Black Brew Culture’s amazing celebration of beer, food, art and entertainment. Atlanta’s festival will be taking place at Stone Mountain’s Hippin Hops’ Brewery beginning on the second week of October. They’ve even done an exciting collaboration brew with Elsewhere Brewing. 4. Take a day trip or staycation to Helen
Where: Helen, Georgia
When: Thursday to Sunday in September, and every day from Sept. 29 to Oct. 30, 2022.
