On August 25th, 2026, the world was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Appalachian icon, Dolly Parton, who had a profound impact and connection to Georgia. Now, the Dolly Parton estate is announcing a massive celebration of Dolly’s life, achievements, and contributions to society: DollyFest. Keep scrolling to learn more about DollyFest.
What is DollyFest?
Dollyfest is the celebration of a lifetime, with two consecutive weekends of 2-day festivals honoring Dolly Parton. The festivals will take place in 2027, spanning two continents at two global music capitols of the world: Nashville and London.
Danny Nozell, Founder/CEO of CTK Enterprises, said in a statement on Dolly Parton’s website,
What Dolly started, we will ensure is brought to life. Many people behind the scenes know that DOLLYFEST is a dream of Dolly’s that was intended to take place on her 80th birthday in Nashville. We had the venue booked and we had the announcement ready to go. And then, in August 2025, Dolly had to take a step back after her initial health challenges. A lot of people always say, WWDD (What Would Dolly Do?), and, well, at this moment, DOLLYFEST is WDWD (What Dolly Would Do!).
Where will DollyFest be held?
Right now, Dolly’s estate has not released specific details for the exact time and place of DollyFest, but we do know that one weekend festival will be hosted in Nashville, as the singer always dreamed, and in London.
Dolly Parton’s estate states: More information on tickets and specific dates in 2027 will be forthcoming.
Of course, Nashville is NOT Atlanta, but it could be the perfect weekend trip from the city. The drive is just under 4 hours, and the flight (direct, nonstop) is just over an hour. Don’t miss out, Atlanta. More details about DollyFest to come.
Rest in peace, Dolly Parton.
