Head to Ponce City Market for this brand new pop-up cocktail bar with a Parisian twist
There’s a brand new pop-up bar in Ponce City Market, and they’re keeping things in the family! Restaurateur Aaron Mattison from the team at the beloved market’s Bar Vegan, has opened a new pop-up bar called Excuse My French inside Citizen Supply—a marketplace on the second floor of the Central Food Hall.
Serving classic French cocktails plus wine and beer, the bar will soon add a variety of light bites to pair. Standouts on the drink list include a classic Kir Royale, French Martini and Pressed Juice-Suze & Tonic. And if you’re a fan of mimosas, then you’ve got to try their Mint Grapefruit reiteration of the brunch-time favorite.
Mattison paired up with Slutty Vegan ATL’s Pinky Cole to open Bar Vegan in February 2021. Also on the second floor of Ponce City Market’s Central Food Hall, Bar Vegan brings the city “bar theater,” with a bold, memorable and experiential offering that matches a high energy atmosphere with exciting and exotic visual presentations of drinks.
As for the pop-up’s interiors, expect a boho, feel-good vibe with a minimalist yet eclectic aesthetic. The color palette features neutral, earthy tones with lots of greenery, highlighted by the abundance of natural light that floods through century-old industrial windows. Guests can enjoy drinks at the bar, in a comfortable lounge area within the space or on the go.
Excuse My French is open Thursdays through Sundays from 12pm until 7pm. Follow them on Instagram here for updates & information.
