In some exciting news for the the world of soccer, FIFA recently announced the FIFA Club World Cup, which is, according to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, “the largest stand-alone global club football event ever staged.” This tournament, which is a complexly separate event from the FIFA World Cup, will be hosted in the United States in 2025… and Atlanta’s got some choice matches, right here at Mercedes-Benz!
How many FIFA Club World Cup matches will be hosted in Atlanta?
According to Mercedes-Benz, “Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host six matches for this historic edition of the tournament, including a quarterfinal.”
Here are the matches that will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium:
- June 16 – Chelsea vs. Club Leon
- June 19 – Inter Miami vs. FC Porto
- June 22 – Manchester City vs. Al Ain FC
- Round of 16 matches on June 29 and July 1
- Quarterfinal match on July 5
