Wait… return to Broadway?
That’s right! Kandi Burruss might be most famous for her time on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ but she’s actually got a history of musical theatre and theatre, ever since childhood. Burruss’s Broadway debut was in 2018, in ‘Chicago.’
Since ‘Chicago,’ she’s also produced a range of plays and musicals, like:
- The Piano Lesson
- The Wiz
- Othello
Burruss told Variety, in an exclusive interview,
I could not be more thrilled to return to the Broadway stage in this incredible musical… As a songwriter myself, I am such a fan of Max Martin’s genius mind, and to get to come back to Broadway in this joyful musical that celebrates his catalog is a dream come true.
Burruss will play Angélique for a limited run of the show… so you definitely don’t want to miss it!
So what is & Juliet about?
Great question! Imagine if Juliet did not die at the end of Shakespeare’s classic tale of star-crossed lovers… and she sang pop songs about it!
‘& Juliet’ is a story about second chances, with adored pop anthems like:
- NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna Be Me”
- Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone”
- Britney Spears’ “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” & “Overprotected”
- Katy Perry’s “Roar”
And so many more!
Okay, okay! I’ve gotta go see it on Broadway.
Burruss’ run of ‘& Juliet’ will be limited on Broadway from Dec. 11 – March 8, 2026. And you definitely don’t want to miss this one! Learn more and snag your Broadway tickets on Broadway’s website, here.
