This morning (1/23), MARTA announced a plan to ensure safety during this weekend’s potential inclement weather. Keep scrolling for all the details on their winter weather safety plan.
What’s going on with the weather?

First of all, if you haven’t heard, Atlanta is about to get hit by a potentially dangerous winter storm. The forecast is predicting potential snow and ice buildups, causing dangerous travel conditions, especially on the roads.
Due to the weather system, Gov. Brian Kemp has place the entire state under a State of Emergency through January 29th, 2026.

Service will be reduced further and may be suspended if conditions worsen. As of now, the service plan detailed below will remain in place for Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026.
