There’s nothing quite like finding that perfect dish that screams PERFECTION! And now, there’s a cool, affordable, and sustainable way to find those perfect ceramics. Introducing Olaria, the U.S.’s first-ever rescued artisan ceramics shop priced by the pound. Keep scrolling to learn more.
What is Olaria? And what do you mean… rescued?
Olaria is Atlanta’s new ceramics shop–the perfect spot to find everything from espresso cups to bowls to plates to plant pots and beyond.
But Olaria isn’t just a ceramics store. They’ve got two very unique aspects:
- They price by the pound
- Their goods are ‘rescued’ from independent potteries in Europe.
What does it mean to rescue them? It means that the products at Olaria have minor imperfections or flaws that make each piece truly one of a kind. Instead of independent potters and ceramists having to toss imperfect products, they can send them to Olaria for a second chance!
Olaria states on their website,
We rescue surplus and slight seconds from independent potteries in Europe transforming them into an affordable, design-forward experience where every visit feels like a treasure hunt.
Wait, how does ‘priced by the pound’ work?
It might sound a little confusing, but it’s actually very straightforward: basically all you have to do is shop around the store, mix and match all your favorite pieces, and they pay per pound instead of per piece!
Each artisan ceramic is only $4/pound.
How do I know what’s in stock?
You’ll have to stop by the shop to find out!
Because their mix of ceramics is always changing and super unique, you never know what you’ll find on your treasure hunt to Olaria! Everything is available in-store only, and sales on per pound items are final.
Olaria also notes that every piece is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, & microwave-safe—designed to be as durable as it is beautiful.
Okay, okay! I NEED to check this out! Gimme the details.
