2025 is already bringing in some great news: the iconic Atlanta Peach Drop is BACK to ring in the new year! With some stunning performances by Big Boi and Neon Trees, as well as being M.C.’d by the one and only Ryan Cameron, it’s sure to be a massive event!
And, as with everything in Atlanta, there’s sure to be plenty of traffic surrounding Underground Atlanta leading up to (and directly after) the midnight count-down!
Here’s what you need to know about road closures and street shut downs leading up to the Peach Drop!
According to a new report by WSB-TV Atlanta,
ATLDOT says they will start shutting down some lanes on Monday before fully shutting down several streets on Tuesday. The closures will last from 6 a.m. on Monday until 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Monday, December 30
- Peachtree St – One northbound lane from Upper Alabama St. SW to Wall St. SW
- Pryor St. SW – One southbound lane from Wall St. SW to Upper Alabama St. SW
- Wall St. SW – One eastbound lane from Pryor St. SW to Central Ave. SW
- Central Ave. SW – Two northbound lanes from Martin L. King Jr., Dr. SW to Decatur St. SE
Tuesday, December 31
- Pryor St. SW – Full street closure from Decatur St. SE to Martin L. King Jr., Dr. SW
- Wall St. SW – Full street closure from Central Ave. SW to Peachtree St.
- Peachtree St.
- Full street closure from Marietta St. NW/Decatur St. SE to Alabama St. SW
- Full street closure from Alabama St. SW to Martin L. King Jr., Dr. SW
- The street will close at 2pm, except for guests at the Fairfield Hotel
- Alabama St. SW – Full street closure from Forsyth St. SW to Peachtree St. beginning at 4pm
- Broad St. SW – Full street closure from Martin L. King Jr., Dr. SW to Alabama St. St. beginning at 4pm
