It’s no secret that we have a gem of a museum right here in Midtown, Atlanta and if you haven’t visited yet, it’s a must! SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film is so unique because it merges film, digital media, and of course, fashion in a way that few have around the world.

As part of the impressive Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), it’s no wonder the museum brings some incredibly impressive exhibitions to Atlanta including two new ones that you don’t want to miss out on this spring.

With the connection to the university, students and visitors can get an incredible behind-the-scenes look through lectures, panel discussions and workshops. Since it’s one of the only museums dedicated to fashion and film in the Southeast, planning a visit to this cultural institution in Atlanta is a must. Learn more and grab tickets here!

Now on view at the SCAD FASH Museum, get the chance to see the first U.S. exhibit of 20th-century couturier Jeanne Lanvin and British-Ghanaian fashion and beauty photographer Campbell Addy at his premiere solo show in the United States right here in Atlanta!

At the Jeanne Lanvin: Haute Couture exhibition, which runs until August 31, 2025, you’ll see 60+ garments, beautiful fashion illustrations, and one of our favorite highlights—the exclusive photographs from the Foundation Azzedine Alaïa and Lanvin Heritage collections.

On view now through September 7, 2025, visit Campbell Addy: The Stillness of Elegance. This exhibit celebrates the British-Ghanaian artist’s work in fashion and beauty photography where he explores Blackness, intimacy, and more—pushing the boundaries in the fashion industry in the most creative way. His work has been featured in British Vogue, i-D and Dazed, so seeing it in person at SCAD FASH Museum over the next couple of months couldn’t be more exciting!
The museum has regularly featured iconic designers for years with past exhibitions highlighting some exquisite work, including costume design and storytelling in cinema in their exhibitions which is so interesting to see!

Just this year, visitors could see over 125 pieces from Costume Designer Sandy Powell, whose work has been featured in films like Shakespeare in Love, The Favourite and Cinderella.
Another recent highlight was Imane Alyssi’s solo exhibition “From Africa to the World” which showed off 40 of his signature pieces of beautiful African craftsmanship to Atlantans.
The iconic museum is also no stranger to showcasing some of the most famous faces in the fashion business over the years. In 2016, world-famous Venezuelan-born, NYC-based fashion designer Carolina Herrera was celebrated with an exhibition that focused on the designer’s 35th anniversary dubbed ‘Refined Irreverence.’ The show highlighted 75 of her most celebrated garments from 1981 to modern day.

Along with featuring icons like Herrera, SCAD Fash Museum displayed 70 fabulous looks of fashion designer extraordinaire Pierre Cardin from the 1950s and beyond, and acclaimed Chinese couturier Guo Pei, including the unforgettable yellow cape worn by Rihanna at the 2015 Met Gala.

We can’t say enough how incredible this museum—and SCAD— is, not only to the city of Atlanta, but to the fashion world as a whole! Don’t miss out on seeing Jeanne Lanvin: Haute Couture and Campbell Addy: The Stillness of Elegance exhibitions while you can this spring and summer!
