One of Atlanta’s favorite fall traditions is back for the season, and this year… they’re going larger than life with it! The Atlanta Botanical Garden’s iconic annual ‘Scarecrows in the Garden’ is hosting a special invitation-only category: Supersized Scarecrows. Keep scrolling to learn more!
What is ‘Scarecrows in the Garden’?

Scarecrows in the Garden is one of the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s beautiful annual exhibits.
This event brings local art and incredible artistic scarecrows into the already-enchanting garden. Dozens of creations by local artists, crafters, and more are nestled throughout the garden!
And as a special celebration of the Garden’s 50th Anniversary this year, Scarecrows in the Garden is going even bigger this year with a new, invitation-only category: Supersized Scarecrows. These larger-than-life scarecrows will take over the new Great Lawn Garden, and will tower at heights up to 12 feet tall.
As you visit the scarecrows, you can vote for your favorites, and the artists will win prizes including Golden Tickets – a year of Garden events – Family-level memberships, curated gift baskets from the Garden Gift Shop and more.
Winners will be announced via the Garden’s social media and in person at the Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival. (The Great Pumpkin-Carving Festival is also a great time to check out these amazing scarecrows!)
