Science Gallery to host several exhibitions at Pullman Yards dedicated to art, science, and technology
The Pratt Pullman District has been experiencing an epic glow-up over the past year, and this exciting new project is taking things to the next level. Science Gallery at Emory University has announced Pullman Yards as the host venue for their upcoming exhibitions and public programs.
The Science Gallery is a network of the world’s leading research universities, which includes Atlanta-based Emory University. They combine fields from science, art, technology, and design to deliver world-class educational and cultural experiences. The galleries, pop-up programs and touring exhibitions have reached millions of people worldwide, with inspiring programs created with youth culture in mind.
The Pratt Pullman District wrote on their Instagram, “Science Gallery will showcase a variety of exhibits and programs created to provoke thoughtful dialogue and enrich the minds of its target audience: youth and the creators of tomorrow, as well as the community and visitors to Atlanta.”
The first exhibition that will take over the historic space is HOOKED: When Want Becomes Need. Launching in the spring of 2022, it’ll feature the collaborative talents of Emory researchers and local artists, with a mission of bolstering the city’s reputation for scientific innovation & artistic expression.
Prepare for immersive and family-fun experiences, carefully curated to help both educate and entertain. With so many exciting programs all over the world, Atlanta’s Science Gallery hopes to reign true and authentic to its newest home.
“Atlanta is a prominent leader in research, culture, and the arts,” says Audrey Chang, Director of Science Gallery. “These exhibitions are curated to inspire new ideas and provoke conversation about ourselves and our communities. At the same time, we seek to celebrate the rich cultural history of Atlanta.”
