Stonecrest’s Sears Building Will Soon Become An Insane Aquarium

Interactive aquarium and nature center is taking over the former Sears building in Stonecrest.

SeaQuest have chosen Atlanta to open their tenth location. The land and sea attraction is expected to open this summer at the Mall at Stonecrest, occupying the former Sears building.

In May, the city sold the 25,000-square-foot space for $2.4 million dollars to Stonecrest Resorts, a development affiliate of Urban Retail Properties that now manages the Mall at Stonecrest.

This former Sears will become SeaQuest’s largest location. The attraction brings the majestic wonders of our planet, ranging from rainforests & deserts to exotic marine life. They do this with exhibits that create an exciting quest for visitors, as they make their way through a Caribbean Cove, the Egyptian Desert, to the Amazon River & beyond.

Guests are encouraged to connect with their animals, and learn about their ecosystems through various hands-on activities which include hand-feeding sharks, stingrays, birds & tropical animals.
