According to a new weather report from Fox5 Atlanta,
…there is a 40% chance of a wintry mix on Friday into Saturday, depending on the development of a low-pressure system.
In short, we’re still not positive if it’s going to snow, but if it does, it’ll probably be Friday or Saturday.
How cold is it going to get in Atlanta?
Whether it ends up snowing, sleeting, or just raining, one thing is for sure: it’s going to be COLD this week. The latest weather models are predicting temperatures with lows in the 20s.
And according to Atlanta Patch,
Georgia joins Louisiana, Alabama and several other coastal states that may receive temperatures 12 to 25 degrees below the historical average.
Overnight temperatures will even be in the teens during the week.

How long is the arctic blast going to last?
Right now, according to Accuweather, this cold weather blast is expected to last until at least January 12th, 2025.

Is there a wind advisory?
Along with bitterly cold temperatures, Atlanta is in for a gusty, windy week, too. There is a wind advisory in effect until 7am on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025.
11Alive News states,
Winds of 15-25 mph are expected, with gusts of 25-35 mph. Isolated gusts of 40+mph are possible.
So stay inside as much as you can this week, Atlanta. Stay warm, and don’t forget to wear warm clothes when you need to go outside!
