A company called Thumbtack recently conducted a study to find the sweatiest city in the country, and Atlanta ranked #1.

And not only is Atlanta hot in temperature, but it’s also HUMID, which makes us sweat even more out in the sun.
According to Thumbtack’s findings, these are the top ten sweatiest cities of 2025:

- Washington, D.C.
- Austin
- Baltimore
- Dallas
- Charlotte
- Orlando
- Denver
- Raleigh
- Houston
How did Thumbtack come up with this data?
Well, here’s what they say:
We examined which of the top 40 metropolitan areas (according to the Nielsen DMA rankings) have the most requests for projects including central air conditioning repair or maintenance, central air conditioning installation or replacement, window, wall, or portable AC repair or maintenance, fan installation, and thermostat installation or repair for May-mid-July 2025. We adjusted for population size by ranking cities based on the number of project requests per capita. The pricing ranges for these projects are based on national pricing estimates from projects on Thumbtack in 2025.
