Get ready to take lunch hour to the next level at Buckhead’s Chai Yo Modern Thai restaurant. This award-winning Buckhead restaurant is now opening its menu for lunch specials starting on May 1. Chef DeeDee Niyomkul wants to give patrons a taste of authentic Thai street food culture, focusing on traditional noodle dishes. There will even be a special “lunch box” option.
The “lunch box” specials that Chef DeeDee has curated will change weekly, including two entrées, soup, and jasmine rice, and special lunch-only dishes with an emphasis on noodles, a nod to Thailand’s celebrated street food culture. Guests will enjoy appetizers including Spring Rolls, Basil Rolls, Golden Pouches, Larb Kai, Octopus Lemongrass Salad, and more.
Chef DeeDee has even included some of her favorite dishes from the menu. A variety of dishes will include Drunken Noodles with Minced Chicken; Beef Boat Noodles with Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Bean Sprouts, Cilantro, Scallions, Fried Garlic, and Rice Noodles; and Kanom Jeen Keang Kiew Wan, Chicken with Green Curry, Eggplant, Bamboo, Cabbage, Thai Basil, and rice vermicelli noodles.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Atlanta if it didn’t have its own twist on dishes. Guests will have a chance to enjoy Chef Dee Dee’s take on a classic Atlanta dish, the fried chicken sandwich. Chef Dee Dee’s version has crispy Brussels sprouts and garlic aioli and is served on a brioche bun. The lunch menu will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
