The historic shopping and entertainment district is currently going through a major transformation.
Underground Atlanta is a shopping and entertainment district in the Five Points neighborhood of downtown Atlanta. A new vision of Underground will transform the historic part of Downtown Atlanta into an artistic community.
The Although the exact plans and residents are unknown or open to interpretation, the new makeover promises an excellent night on the town, and an ample of opportunity for local businesses and beyond!
On the four blocks that make up Underground, there will be hotels, retail space, entertainment, and residential apartments.
The apartments in construction will include 220 student apartments and 184 affordable apartments on top of 150,000 square feet of new retail space.

A new location for mid-rise affordable housing project from Prestwick Cos. The $38 million, 130-unit development will be built on top of three floors of new retail on the site that is currently known as the Exchange at the corner of Alabama Street and Central Avenue.
Current businesses at the shopping district include iScream Ice Cream Rolls, Future Nightclub, the tech-savvy Yotel, and many more!
The owner, Shaneel Lalani, is currently meeting with more downtown residents and stakeholders, to expand the exciting project even further. Ensuring that the project reflects Atlanta, and its people.
