What’s on the ballot?
Your ballot will have more than just the presidential candidates on it. Along with voting for president, you’ll be able to vote for statewide races, congress, Senate, House, and some county posts.

When are polls open?
Every polling place will be open from 7am – 7pm. If you are in line by 7pm, you will be allowed to vote. In other words, if you’re in line, stay in line. You will be allowed to vote, even if it is technically past 7pm.
Where do I vote in-person on Election Day?
Unlike early voting, you will need to go to your specific, designated polling place. This can be found on your voter’s registration card, or you can find your polling place on this tracker here!
What do I need to bring?
Georgia law requires photo identification to vote. This includes tons of different IDs, including:
- Georgia Driver’s License, even if expired
- Student ID from a Georgia public College or University
- Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority, or other entity of this state
- Valid U.S. passport ID
- Valid U.S. military photo ID containing a photograph of the voter
- Valid tribal photo ID containing a photograph if the voter
- Any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, including a free ID Card issued by your county registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)
In other words, if you have a license, even if it’s expired, bring it! You do NOT need to bring your voter registration. So if you can’t find it, don’t sweat!
Can I vote online?
No. The state of Georgia does not allow online voting.
Can my kids come with me to vote?
Yes, definitely! The Georgia Secretary of State says, “Parents can take their children into the voting booth with them. It is a good way for them to learn about voting and for you to show them it is important.”
If I am elderly or disabled, do I have to wait in line?
If you are unable to stand in line, don’t worry, you can still vote! In Georgia, any voter 75 years of age or older, or who is disabled and requires assistance in voting, may vote immediately at the next available voting compartment or booth without having to wait in line. In other words, you will not have to wait in line!
