You read that right: Waffle House has just announced that they’ll be removing waffles from their menus nation-wide.
Waffle House, which was originally founded in Avondale Estates in Atlanta, GA, made the difficult decision to cut the beloved waffles from their menu after the soaring price of eggs made the batter un-economical to continue making. This comes just after the news of the ‘egg up-charge,’ where Waffle House locations all over the country tacked on an extra 50 cents per egg to combat the rising cost of eggs.
Is anything replacing waffles on the menu at Waffle House?

Currently there are no plans to replace the iconic Waffle House Waffles with anything else. But you can still order their delicious hash brown bowls, bacon, and even their slices of pie (secret menu item unlocked)!
Is Waffle House really taking waffles off the menu?
Well, in a statement, they said,
NOPE! APRIL FOOLS, Y’ALL!
Don’t worry, your waffles are safe! Waffle House is NOT taking waffles off the menu… but you should see your faces! Happy April Fool’s Day, y’all. Now go share this article with someone to give ’em a little all-in-good-fun scare!
(The egg surcharge thing is real, though, sadly.)
