Every year the James Beard Foundation recognizes outstanding work of restauranteurs all across the country. With the winners of the James Beard Awards happening on Monday, June 10th, in Chicago, we’re excited to see some Atlanta restaurants making the semi-finalist cut!
Outstanding Chef Award
There are many categories a restaurant or chef can place in, including the Outstanding Chef Award. Of course, this award only goes to the most dynamic, incredible chefs in the country, and making it to the semi-finals is a huge honor.
This is why it’s so exciting to announce: celebrated Atlanta chef, Atsushi Hayakawa, of Hayakawa, Atlanta’s traditional Japanese Sushiya, is a semi-finalist for the James Beard Outstanding Chef Award. We’ll be rooting for Hayakawa in the finals this summer!
Chef Hayakawa went up against the best of the best and is in the category with some very impressive competition, including restaurants from New York, Los Angeles, and Vegas.
What is Hayakawa?
Hayakawa is a dining experience like no other in Atlanta. This sushiya brings a taste of traditional Japan right here to us in Atlanta. With fresh, delicious ingredients, Chef Hayakawa has definitely perfected the art of fine dining.
And like they say at Hayakawa, it’s not just a dinner, it’s an experience. And we agree, if you’re looking for the most delicious sushi in Atlanta, this is your spot!
To check out Hayakawa for yourself, go to their website and make a reservation!
And while you’re looking for delicious places to eat, check out some of Atlanta’s other prestigious restaurants, including those that earned a Michelin recommendation last year!
Keep your fingers crossed for Chef Atsushi Hayakawa in the James Beard Foundation finals. And check back in in June to see who takes home the prize!
Congratulations, Chef Atsushi Hayakawa!
