Get ready, Atlanta, because the art exhibit that combines millions of LEGO® pieces and sculptural art is coming to town this spring! Tickets have just been released to the pubic, so snag them now!
If the ‘Art of The Brick Immersive Experience’ sounds familiar, that’s because it has already made waves around the world in cities from Brussels to Boston, impressing some 10 million visitors in all—and it’s finally making its way to Atlanta. But, with a twist! This groundbreaking new version will feature this inspiring art with 3D video mapping and music, taking the exhibit in a different direction.
The mastermind behind this thrilling art exhibition is Nathan Sawaya, a former New York City corporate lawyer-turned world-renowned contemporary artist. The exhibit shows a whole new way to look at art, and there will be some never-before-seen sculptures, as well as the famous displays that have wowed guests at the exhibits around the world.
Of course, visitors in Atlanta can expect to see larger-than-life works like Yellow, perhaps the most famous installation, featuring the torso of a male who rips open his chest to reveal thousands of LEGO® bricks pouring out of it.
New to the ATL exhibit, includes the 25-foot “Swimmer” sculpture, and the new piece that celebrates humanity called “Rainbow”. Other highlights include the ‘Pinching Hand,’ ‘Park Bench Person’ in eye-popping yellow, and a series of ‘Shiny Skulls.’
This exhibit is all about inspiring guests and giving them a new way to look at art.
“The Art of the Brick takes LEGO® somewhere you wouldn’t expect and shows you things you have never seen before. The goal with this collection of art is to demonstrate the potential of imagination and the power of creativity,” said artist Nathan Sawaya in a press release.
Prepare to be amazed just as 10 million fans worldwide were when the ‘Art of The Brick Immersive Experience’ comes to Atlanta this April! Finally, an exhibit celebrates a favorite childhood pastime, while mixing it with contemporary artistic genius.
