The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival is back, and many ATLiens are anticipating their stellar 2022 line-up. Jampacked with five full performances, twelve staged readings, a rooftop party, and more, if you’re a theatre-lover, you won’t want to miss this highly regarded marathon of curated events.
A highlight from this year’s line-up includes the one-woman show Journey by Jeneen Hammond. A beautiful collection of heartwarming personal stories, expect soulful renditions of traditional and Gospel spirituals, as well as a compelling drama that revives the beauty of life, faith, and cultural history.
Other hot-picks include Daughter Of The King: The Musical, Eunice In Paris, and other cool happenings like workshops and their Black Expo & Marketplace.

The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival’s mission is “to provide opportunities for theatre and performing artists to develop, present, and preserve, in an authentic voice, multi-disciplinary art for and about the pan-African experience.”
The festival will be taking place on Labor Day Weekend, from September 1 until September 4.
