Not just a market, but a monument honoring entrepreneurship and wealth of Black America
Stonecrest is home to one of the best destination for family fun, entertainment, retail, and dining. The New Black Wall Street Market is an extension of the Allen Entrepreneurial Institute, with a mission to increase the size and number of minority and women-owned businesses throughout the United States, and across the globe.
There are over 100 shops and restaurants located inside this new and exciting development. However, the street’s history stretches back over 100 years. The Greenwood District was born in 1906, and quickly obtained the title, “Black Wall Street”, due to the community that developed the area into one of the most luxurious Black neighborhoods in the United States.
Businesses back in the early 1900s included the largest Black-owned hotel in the country, luxury shops, grocery stores, nightclubs, theatres, and more. Nowadays, you can expect some incredible Black, minority, and women-owned businesses.
Merchants on offer include AromexAir for the best in aromatherapy, Region for beautifully crafted jewelry, Pure Herbn for herbal tea and wellness, plus so much more. For the full list of vendors at Black Wall Street Market, click here.
The Black Wall Street Market is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11am until 8pm, Sundays from 11am until 6pm. And the market is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. You can find it at 8109 Mall Parkway, Stonecrest.
