There’s plenty to do in the stylish district of Buckhead, Atlanta
Known for its upscale malls and independent art galleries, Buckhead is one of Atlanta’s sparkling gems. The trendy restaurants and trendier locals fill the iconic district located in the center of the city.
There’s so much to see and do in the uptown commercial and residential district of the city of Atlanta. Youthful bars, local businesses and even some regional history.
Here’s 7 things to see and do in Buckhead, Atlanta
1. Chastain Park
Boasting more than 260 acres, there’s nothing to dislike about one of Atlanta’s largest city parks. Chastain Park is home to the Chastain Arts Center. So after enjoying their other facilities like their swimming pool, golf course or walking trails, you can add a splash of culture. Their amphitheater has played host to many musicians, rock stars, and is definitely worth checking out.
2. Lenox Square Mall
With Buckhead known for its shopping, its home to many first class shopping establishments. Lenox Square Mall is a great microcosm of that fact. Inside you’ll find everything designer, with brands ranging from Gucci to Macy’s. Outside it’s all valet, so you might spot a celebrity or at least some fancy cars.
3. Legoland Discovery Center
If you have kids, it’s worth checking out LEGOLAND’s Discovery Center, although it’s perfect for anyone with an imagination. Meet your favorite Lego stars, and ride family-friendly attractions like their mind-blowing 4D cinema. There’s even a replica of Atlanta made entirely of Lego!
4. Atlanta History Center
The Atlanta History Center is a 33-acre experience with award winning exhibitions, historic houses and stunning gardens. Explore more than 10 onsite and online exhibitions that delve into all things Atlanta. Their outdoor space is perfect to escape the bustle of the city as the preserved woodland is home to diverse plant collections, and heritage-breed animals.
5. Path400 Trail
Although some of it is under construction, PATH400 runs along the spine of GA 400 and, once complete, will provide a 5.2 mile greenway through the heart of Buckhead. The multi-use trail will traverse the cities of Atlanta, Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. The trail is full of art, with incredible murals, shadow panels, and painted picnic tables.
6. Eat on Peachtree Road
There are plenty of delicious restaurants near Peachtree. The quality and quantity make it one of Atlanta’s favorite date night hotspots. We recommend Varasano’s for a delicious pizza pie. Try the customer favorite Fontina Mushroom Pizza, or spice up your life with the Salumi Pizza.
7. Vinings Art Gallery
Buckhead is known for its artsy vibes and independent galleries. If you’re an art lover, you could spend the day browsing different galleries around Buckhead. Tucked away in the district is Vinings Gallery. Always having a great selection of art on display, its vibrant mix of styles and artists is perfect for any art admirer.

With so many exciting breweries and local entrepreneurs in the city, this is one tour you do not want to miss. If you love beer, make sure you check out the Atlanta Brewery Tour.
